was in the year 1986 that Sayantan Consultants Pvt. Ltd (SCPL)
was established as a consultancy firm in Calcutta. During the
initial period up to 1990, SCPL was providing service to a moderate
client base and offering a limited variety of service to its clients.
Thereafter, it has established itself as one of the leading financial
and management consultants in India, specialised in turning around
Sick Industrial Companies with the revival package suggested and
implemented by it. The Turnaround strategy includes restructuring
of Management, Capital, Debt, Product mix, Technical process,
Marketing strategy, Cost control and Management control system. SCPL implements the revival package by means of Take-over, Merger
and Acquisition. SCPL is also specialised in dealing with the
Laws connected with Sick Industrial Companies (Special Provisions)
Act, which was enacted in India in 1985 and subsequently, amended
in 1994 with a view to securing timely detection of Sick and potentially
Sick Companies and formulating measures for revival of Sick Industrial
Companies. The organisation, which has executed over 550 assignments
from large and medium sized Companies, has specialised in formulating
Rehabilitation package for BIFR referred Companies and is empanelled
as an approved consultant of Financial Institutions, State Bank
of India and several Nationalised Banks. It offers services to
put in operation various kinds of Technologies in areas like Reinforced
bar coating, Continuous coil coating, Galvanizing, Metal Pretreatment,
Particle boards, Diversified Jute Products, Printed Circuit Boards,
Paper based Egg trays and Food grade trays, Decorative Laminates
and Environmental Control Systems among other things.
Having set-up its corporate office at Calcutta, SCPL offers Financial
services like Conducting Viability studies, Company Analysis including
Identification of Projects, Preparing Techno-Economic Viability
Reports, Preparing detailed Rehabilitation Scheme for Sick Industrial
Companies, Preparing Takeover proposals by Merger / Amalgamation,
Monitoring Project Execution, Capital restructuring, Placement
of Structured Debt Instruments, Loan Syndication (both Rupee and
Foreign currencies) and Arranging for Overseas Collaboration and
Technical Know how.
